TheDream.US Scholarship

The Dream.us logoHoly Family University proudly joins more than 80 colleges and universities in 21 states and Washington, D.C. as a partner with TheDream.US, the nation’s largest college access and career success program for DREAMers- undocumented immigrants who have come to the United States at a young age.

The partnership provides scholarships for Pennsylvania immigrant youth to achieve their higher education dreams. Extending a welcome and equitable access to underserved DREAMers, seeking to find their path and purpose, directly aligns with the teneor votis mission of Holy Family University and our responsibility to the community at-large.

FAQs for DREAMers and Undocumented Students

This scholarship may be for you, if you are undocumented and…

  • You are or are about to be a high school graduate; OR
  • You have or are about to earn a GED; OR
  • You have been or are currently enrolled in a community college or university.

You are eligible to apply of you:

  1. Are undocumented and came to the United States before November 1, 2017, and have continuously lived in the United States since then or have DACA or TPS;
  2. Came to the United States before the age of 16 (if you were born in the U.S., you are not eligible for this scholarship);
  3. Have significant unmet financial need;
  4. Have graduated or will graduate from a Pennsylvania high school (or have earned or will earn a high school equivalency diploma); OR were or are currently in college;
  5. Graduated or will graduate with a high school GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale or have a cumulative college GPA of 2.5 or better – this includes students currently in college as well;
  6. Intend to enroll full-time in a bachelor’s degree program at Holy Family University.

For high school graduates, the award covers tuition and fees of up to $33,000 in total ($8,250 annually) as well as up to $1,500 each year for books and supplies.

For students with an associate degree, the award covers tuition and fees of up to $33,000 in total ($8,250 annually) as well as up to $1,500 each year for books and supplies.

The award is renewable each year if you meet continuing eligibility criteria.

The University is committed to assisting you in closing the gap between the funds provided by the National Scholarship and the costs of tuition and fees for Holy Family University.
